About the Event

This event focuses on the use of natural whole foods, with minimum processing, in order to take maximum nutritional benefit from the abundance of foods Mother Earth provides us with - the basis of a plant-based diet. Large population studies on plant-based diets, such as the Mediterranean diet, show that it significantly reduces the risk of heart diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity, certain cancers (specifically colon, breast and prostate cancer) and in older adults, risk of frailty, along with better mental and physical function (longevity). Although it may not be the only  solution, a plant-base diet can also translate into more sustainable  practices for our dear Mother Earth, minimizing our impact on Her surface.

A plant-based diet can offer all the necessary proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals for optimal health. However, to guarantee that we need to have some basic knowledge on human nutrition and how we can cater to all our nutritional needs within a plant-based diet. If you want to make the transition into a plant-based diet, discover new tasty veggie recipes, or simply dive deeper into the principles of nutrition for a healthier diet, then this event is for you. 

This event consists of two separate modules, taking place in two different days:

MODULE 1 (Saturday) - Introduction to Vegetarian Cuisine for a Healthier Life

MODULE 2 (Sunday) - Delicious Veggie Recipes. Guided Cooking Class

Each module can be taken individually or as a weekend event. However, participation on Module 2 is restricted to people who have already completed Module 1.
